Isolated by both their own pride, adepts rely solely on their close-knit communities for everything. One would think without trade, supporting a thriving civilization would be rather difficult, which is partially true. Life in the north-eastern mountains is difficult and dangerous. However, their daily tasks are aided by the powerful magical abilities they've developed.At the age of 18, adepts are first taught how to manipulate the natural energy around them. They are taught by shamans- masters of charge magic who dedicate their lives to the study of such. Hannah is one of these shamans, who takes her job rather seriously. Her mother, the village chief, is a direct descendant of the legendary adept who helped resolve the great war eons ago.
Hannah was considered a prodigy as a child, and became skilled in the use of magic much earlier and much faster than her peers. Much pressure has been put on her to succeed further, which many say is the cause for her notoriously strict teaching style. Deep down, though, she only wants the best for her students.
