After Metis halted movement across the sky, creating perpetual midnight, the Nox began to pour into this world at an alarming pace. With no sunlight to weaken them, there was no longer a need to continually jump between dimensions.Soon, large dimensional gates began to appear in spots where many Nox creatures had come from repeatedly. These were dubbed "rips", due to the violent nature of the gates. Nox can freely pass in and out of these dimensional rips if need be, but it would seem they have no reason to do so, as daylight can exist in the Nox dimension.
If this wasn't enough of a problem, the collective fear and worry of the people is only serving to create more Nox creatures. The Nox population is rising exponentially.
