The eclipse festival is a yearly event, occurring from sunrise to sunset on the day Metis passes between Earth and the sun. It is a huge celebration- comparable to New Years Eve. After all, it is the anniversary of the creation of humans.At noon, everyone in town gathers with illuminite in hand to see the sun be completely blocked out by Metis. It becomes midnight at midday, and the illuminite crystals glow brightly. There is dancing and feasting aplenty, and everyone is happy.
